I've been so busy with work but I finally got out today and I decided to go out to Druid Hill Park. This park is massive and very old. 750 acres right in the middle of Baltimore. I've been there before and come up empty handed, but not today. My first Merc, in great shape. It was no move than 1.5 inches down right by a massive oak tree. I also managed to find a 44 and 34 wheat, and some clad. This park has been hunted hard, but I feel there's more treasure awaiting.

What a great feeling, silver comes up all clean sweet and pretty!

Regards, Ken

Congrats on your first Merc! thumbsup01

No place is ever hunted out, and a park the big is sure to have lot more oldies hiding in it.

Congratulations on the first Merc. Nice pics too.

When I lived in California (south S.F. Bay area), the parks had all been hunted to death. I found most of my silver fairly shallow, up close to older trees with a 4 x 6 coil. It seems as though a lot of folks forgot that the trees are where people tend to lay down and relax.

Nice merc thumbsup01 I doubt a park that big is hunted out. The trick now is to research what activities were where in the olden days. Good luck. That E-Trac should sniff out coins in hunted out areas.

Congrats on your first Merc! Like others have said, not only is there no such thing as a hunted out park,
but one that large certainly has some more good finds just waiting for you!

Good going!
I have always wanted to try Druid Hill. It's so big, it can't be all hunted out.
