Hunting a small town park with Dave...

This morning Dave and I finally were able to hunt the small town park I found over the weekend. The park is about 100 years old.

With so much clad there, I assumed the park hadn't seen too many metal detectors the last several years. A lot of the clad sits about 4-6 inches deep, so with every good signal.... there's hope of silver.

Along with the clad, I managed a silver dime and a couple of wheats. :peace:

As always, it was a fun time out with Dave. I know there is more silver there, we just need to remove the carpeting of clad and peek between all of the pull tabs.

Looks like a great site. There must be more silver there.

... I'm sure there is. Now that I look at the picture, I just realized that Dave pulled one of his Mercs from right in front of that bench in the lower left of the photo.

Very nice hunting! Been waiting for you to get back there and post your finds, congrats on the silver!

Yes, that place looks great! Those types of benches do often hold a few goodies in the ground around them. Nice hunt.
