Hey Steve, it's kinda like a recovery speed. It makes the machine reset and be ready to hear the next target. It helps in real trashy areas, but you lose a bit on target ID. If you detect very, very, VERY slow, you may not need it. For the deep stuff, you are better off going slow. I think Angel has it set to Off.

It's like George mentioned. :yes: I do have it set to off due to the resulting slight tone distortion when set to ON. The visual ID is also affected but that part does not bother me. As George indicated, compensate by sweeping slower when working trashy sites.
