It was a cold day 48 degrees with wind gusting to 30 mph. Now that the water is too cold, I find myself with the need to fill the holes in my coin albums. I had a 3 hour hunt with the V3i at a park I hit previously. The indians and nickels come out of this place in really bad shape, but I dig the lower vdi's hoping for gold. Total from this hunt was 3 Indians, 3 V Nickels, a Shield Nickel, a 1928 Merc, 1901-O Barber dime, 1911 Barber dime and a copper ring, along with some clad. As the Indians and Nickels are in such bad shape, they weren't worth a photo.
Today I stopped for 45 minutes between jobs for a hunt at another local park. This park is really trashy, so I concentrated on the deeper targets. Managed only 2 Indians which came out in pretty nice shape.

Those are some nice dimes, John. They sure will look good in the album. :smitten: That site just keeps giving up the good stuff, though they don't come easy. The site has some of the most difficult ground I have had to deal with this year, but it has yielded several nice pieces. thumbsup01

Beautiful silver John. thumbsup01 I love the barbers....
I am going to be picking your V3i brain in the next few weeks :)
Copper comes out tough in the northeast compared with the midwest, it seems. That's one thing I will miss after moving there.

That is one sweet hunt! :peace:
The silver looks great and it sounds like you pulled some nice nickels too... stinks about their condition.
I dig almost all of the low signals too hoping for that gold coin. It's such a roller coster digging them. High hopes of gold and seconds later a nice pull tab pops out. :bangahead01: The gold colored pull tabs don't make the situation any better.
Congrats on some nice coinage.
