Hit the fairgrounds again

Went back to the fairgrounds this afternoon, and enjoyed the nice day.
Ended up with several wheaties, 2 Barbers, 1914 & 1916S (was praying for a D) :behave: and a nice Pontiac token.
The Etrac worked well for today, both barbers were around the 8 inches mark, which is probably why I missed them with the DFX.

Its for Pontiac cars, Chief of the Sixes (6 cylinder) I think its from the 1950's

I'm not 100% by any means, I'm still pestering Angel with questions, but for the most part I am getting it.. those Barbers sounded good at its depth.. I got stumped a few times today... still have a ways to go to be as good as Angel

I found that exact same token last year!! You have an advertising token, issued by General Motors to promote its Pontiac line of automobiles. ( c. mid 1950's?). Tokens like this were a way of keeping the advertisers message at hand. They were given out freely and people used them as pocket pieces, holed them for keyrings but never threw them away.

Advertising tokens, medals and other items like this that are not official money go under the heading of exonumia. Collectors enjoy these pieces as they often have an interesting story. Approximate value range, depending on condition: $3- $15.
