Last Weekend In October Finds

These are my finds from this weekend. This past Saturday I met up with John (midas) to hit a few sites and Sunday it was a solo hunt.

Saturday

The large cent had me going for a few minutes when I first hit on it and while probing with the X-1. The Fe number was jumpy, but the Co numbers and tone were that of a silver quarter. The target was deep too - 9 to 9 1/2 inches. John had checked the target on his V3i as well and it was hitting high on the numbers too - in the half dollar range. Because of the site we were working I was envisioning a seated or bust quarter. But no. At the very least the copper could have been in decent shape. :crying02:

For a split second this sterling silver pin had resembled a silver dime while it was in the hole.

Sunday

Though it can't be made out from the photo, the Standing Liberty quarter is dated 1920. The Washington quarter and 1961 Roosevelt dime were in the same hole along with a Jefferson nickel.

This is a Irish Half Crown 1933 Leat Coroin. It is about the size of a half dollar.

HH!

Some good stuff there. Never seen the Irish coin before. Even though that copper is, green as green can be, lol it looks like it had a lot of detail when dropped. Send it over, I'll ruin...I mean clean it up for you lol Nice couple of hunts.

Great handful of silver you added to you collection. :clapping:

Love the Seated and the SLQ!

Congrats Angel.
