I really have not had time lately to be active on the board, I've actually had to work lol Thought I'd post some pics of a few of my latest hunts and some of my interesting finds. I'll Start with my latest finds being from yesterday.

Ok so yesterday I did not have much time, as my wife totaled her car on Saturday, so I had to bring her to get a rental and start the car shopping fun. I hit a local school that I have been to a few times. I thought since I am becoming more familiar with my E-Trac, I'd give it a whirl where I've been a few times to see if there is any improvement in my skill. In the open area I was only finding clad. There is an old fence and coming out about 10 feet is overgrown. I went into a small area I could get through and found a wheatie. So I figured most have hit the easy area and left this area alone (including myself). I found 2 more wheaties, then I had a odd hit. As I have been changing up how I detect with the E-trac, by number, sounds and no by both, trying to find my groove with it. It was a lower tone than I normally hear with a coin, but it was a solid 12-31. Then I remembered what George (coinnut) told me. Indians hit in that area. If I was just going by tone, I don't think I would have dug it. But sure enough, an 1890 Indian. So THANK YOU GEORGE thumbsup01

As you all know, sometimes we don't find what we are looking for , but we come across other interesting items. Last weekend, I hit an old school and found this silver ring, I hit an old park and went back over an area that I've been hitting recently I had an odd signal, so I dug. I came across this odd pice of metal, at first I thought it was just trash, just upon examining it a bit closer, it is a 1982 Quarter that someone had placed on a train track and flattened out. I was lucky the date was still visible, an interesting find nonetheless. On earlier hunts in the same park, I found this old lighter, I believe from the 40s or 50s, and this old lock, my wife thinks they are trash, I just keep them, they are useless and probably are just trash, but I think being a pack rat is part of what we do lol

No, not my first Indian, but it IS my first Indian with the E-Trac.

Working? Yeah, don't even have an hour or so after work to detect now before it gets dark. Just hired a new guy to help me out so maybe I can take some time off and go detecting by the end of the season...of course I'd really have to find some serious finds to justify that expense lol

My wife and kid are fine, thank you for asking. A little shaken though. They were lucky, got sandwiched between 2 Ford 250s, so the front and back were smashed, only minor bumper damage to the trucks.
