Took advantage of the beautiful weather to get to one of my favorite places, and pulled 6 silvers and 16 wheats. :happydance01: 5 of the silvers were a challenge -- three were really iffy signals, one was masked by a '65 clad quarter and was only found on a rescan (good thing I dig my clad and always rescan my holes), and one was on its side. The merc was the only slam dunk.
I really wanted to get 7, which would be a new record for me, and with two hours of light left, I thought for sure I'd get it, but it wasn't to be. Second to last target was a nice, deep, good sounding CO 45, but it turned out to be a wheatie directly under a 6 inch by 3 inch rock :thinkingabout: (now tell me how it sunk under such a rock?). The final target of the day sounded really good, a deep, iffy signal that turned out to be silver earlier in the day, and I thought I had it, but it turned out to be a green clad dime at 8 inches :bangahead01: :bangahead01:
