Went out this morning for a few hours... working different areas of town... on my second stop at a park, I nailed a nice signal which gave me a nice Large cent... I haven't cleaned it but it looks either 1850 or 58.. either way.. a nice surprise.
very sweet copper for being in a park , right Angel ?? lol lol
57 was the last year large cent Scott , so 1850 is looking realistic to me anyhow lol lol , great coin how deep was she ?? and good luck with the cleaning but shoot us a picture even if you butcher it like George sometimes does to his. rofl :teasing: rofl

She was only 5 inches deep... and when I say clean, I mean , let it soak in mineral oil for a week , then rinse with water only..

Great Copper Scott thumbsup01 Was that DFX giving you some practice for Saturday? lol Could also be an 1853, since the 3's look like zero's when dirty too.

  Why do I keep him around 8/ ..... lol I have a great new method of cleaning them. If you are adventurous, bring it along and I'll clean it at Del's or my house. Which ever we meet at. He always thinks I ruin the corroded ones, but never says a word when they come out great lol

That's got some really good detail! For a large cent, it cleaned up better than most of mine do... Congrats!!!
yes if you want to bring it with you , thats fine but George makes you sign a waiver saying he's not responsible nor is American Detectorist for any mishaps or terrible job he doesto it. rofl rofl

Great coin!! :clapping:
I would love to find one of those around here. Although they aren't found here very often, I'm sure they are lurking around.
Congrats on a great coin.
