Went up to the old hotel site for a couple hours this morning.. I've gone over the areas that hasn't been disturbed by bulldozer several times... so this time up I dug every remaining target regardless of VDI. 10 minutes into the hunt, I get a 31-35+ vdi at 6 inches... dug the hole and out popped a small gold ring 14K... Odd again the ring was meant for an infant.. or an extremely small handed woman.. Regardless... a pleasant find.

Yeh, I do too... normally at parks I won't just because there is soooooo many of them.. but in certain situations, such as this place... I pretty much have been digging everything... I started with the ez , obvious targets, then work it again and go slower, and pulling more ... then finally sweep up anything in the (+) VDI's

Well, if I were to guess... I would go by what the majority of the coins were dated in that area, Early 1900s , possibly even the later part of the 1890s but I doubt it.

Awesome catskillcomics! :clapping:
I've dug a few silver rings this year that were definitely made for a child. One ring I found just fits my almost 2 year old.
Talk about a choking hazard.
