It's been on the fritz for a long time now. Can't get on due to too many visitors, can't post pictures...etc....Was hoping an Admin would post on what is going on but they have never done so, which is disappointing as l like to see what other posters from CT like me are finding.

It's not just this detecting forum. The three larger sites, TNet, FMDF and Findmall have all seen less activity. Detector Prospector is still functioning, but Dankowski's is running but having real issues.

Yes it is. Spent many, many hours on this forum. Met lots of great people here as well. And thanks to some of those people, I've been to some amazing places and found some mind blowing items.
It seems like Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram have taken the place of the old forums. I'm guilty as well. I'm usually on Instagram or YouTube. I still use the hashtag: #americandetectorist in all my post.

I don't see the whole social media thing killing off the forums I'm on.The issue here is the site began having issues and they got worse to the point it became no longer fun to post here. The mods did all they could to look into them but in the end they threw out a hail mary and Angel was able to look into it, as the owners had vanished like a fart in the wind.
Social media has weakened most of all older forum sites but our internet issues have put a big hurt to this one which is very unfortunate . Dan
