Several of us have noticed this and we're not sure what's going on.

Maybe it has to do with the current number of visitors to the site. It’s over 400,000 as I type! The Bots are attacking!

Huh. You're right, and they're all "guests" not registered members, and the majority of them are from Hong Kong.

Too funny....treasure...lmao!
But really that's a 2 sided issue. When I was running a couple web sites, I spent probably 99% of my time defending them from attacks. Funny how they all seemed to be coming from 3rd world or communist countries, and not a clue what they would have gained from it. But then I never had a swarm of bots like this either.
On the flip side, the silver lining is that all that traffic will boost the site's search engine results, probably taking it right to the top over time.

Seems like the site is still getting slammed and hard to log onto every day.

Yes, it was inaccessible all day for me until just now. Very frustrating.

Yes, I think the issues are finally ironed out! Here's what was happening in a nutshell: "The visitor tables were filling up frequently and knocking the database offline. We originally deleted the queue and re-set it, and wrote some script which instructed the system to delete the queue daily. That didn't do it apparently, so we again deleted the table contents and changed MySQL to restart every hour rather than every day. "That is from Angie and the repairs were done by her son Chris. All of that stuff is way over my head.
