Typical village field

Hello. It is a forum that should be dominated by finds from the USA. So I don't really want to show any finds from Europe.

For comparison, it is very interesting if I show it once.

These are the typical finds from fields near a village. Everything is included across the centuries. Frequent are saints and pilgrimage medals.
But only in the Catholic countries. You don't find this in the Protestants for example North Germany.
How about you in the individual states?

A few coins, buckles and musketballs.
Do you know the round object in the middle with the knobs? That is a weight for a spinning rod. Middle Ages to modern times (1800).
I would be interested in whether you can find these "spindle whorls" in the USA too? Do you also find them?

Lots of great and interesting finds Menzl! You can show off anything you find, it does not need to be American. What kind of detector to you swing? My guess is an XP.

very cool and interesting relics and coins , Dave . we unfortunately don't find many spindle whorls in the states and many of the religious finds are Catholic and or similar Christian oriented faith in theme .

We don't care where the finds come from. Personally, I love to see what people find all over the world. For example, I never heard of a spindle whorl. What are those coins?

The coins are all around 1700. mostly copper pennies. the silver ones is a so called ,,Kreuzer,, from Bavaria dating from 1765. A very common coin. The ornate fittings and clasps are also often found. These date in the time of the 30 years war. (Wenn Germany was a slaughterhouse) They are fragments of metal belts.
