Got out with Rick Yingling this past Sunday. We hit the site that has been producing early 1800's military buttons and Del's cannonball. :envious: I decided to concentrate on the spot where we had found buttons. Within a few minutes I had found an 1813 - 1814 1st Regiment foliated script A (Artillery) button with shankage!69046 After that, Rick and I started moving brush to see if there were more.69047 Anyone need to roast some marshmallows? Within a few minutes I had found another 1821 - 1830's Eagle A Artillery button and it has the "R.R" backmark for Richard Robinson.:yes:69048 Finally, after moving more brush I found an 1808 - 1830 cast pewter "US" Army General Service button. :happydance01:69049 Both the Script A and the US buttons were "firsts" for me. Rick got on the board too with a Mass Copper!:envious::envious::envious: Some more photos............690506905169052

Great examples! Glad you are able to get out this time of year.
Great buttons Donnie , hard work and perseverance has paid off going back to that site .... now if you could only eliminate the vegetation stubble i bet many more would be found !

Can you imagine how many more are in that stubble and mountain laurel? Probably a few plates too.
Can you give me the GPS for the field?
