While the fields and most high and open areas are now frozen with 1-2"+ of frost, especially inland, I've still been able to find areas in the woods that are still perfect for digging. Here are the finds from yesterday's hunt. This area continues to not disappoint and produced probably my best dug SLQ ever.

Congrats on the beautiful 1917-D Type I Standing Liberty Quarter! :loveit:

That Allis-Chalmers token is very interesting too. I've never seen one of those before.

:congrats:

Are these woods part of a park? Or just random woods? Amazing group of finds and the coins look great especially the type I SLQ. I'm very jealous! Seems like everyone has found a type I except me! LOL.

Thank you Tony! Yes, I have never found nor have I ever seen one of those Allis-Chalmers tokens before. Finding local tokens is always top of the list for me!

Thank you! Yes, these woods are part of a public park that had a great deal of activity from the late 1920's to the 1970's, but not as much the past 40-50 years.

Not sure which find was nicer the Walker you found or the SLQ. Great recoveries. PS today may be our last day in Wisconsin. BRRRR! If so you had a nice finish to a very productive year. Congrats. WD
