Apparently the 1865 is the Fancy 5 variety. I guess that's a good thing?

That 1865 Indian Head is off the charts, Don! Such a beautiful coin! It is definitely the fancy 5 variety. The dark green patina is spectacular!

The Barber Quarter and bankers token are great finds too.

Were you detecting in Wisconsin?

Nice recoveries. I'm starting to forget what Barber quarters look like. The question is why do most 1865's come out looking so good. Were they made from different material??. WD

Don, maybe a stupid question, but what does FTY stand for? I googed it and the first definition was "Flyer Than You." Which you are...I've met you.
The second definition was "First Time Yield." Is that what it means?
