This weekend I got out with Noah on Saturday and Tony on Sunday. The weather was perfect!

My first find on Saturday morning was a crotal bell taken from a front yard.
The second house we hit was the best of the day. I dug 4 Indians, an 88,91,97 & 99. Also 2 mercs, a 19 & 43.
A little later i dug another merc, a 1918 and a cool flat button with a horse on it If anyone can tell me anything about the button I would appreciate it!
I also dug 11 wheats and tootsie toy.

Sunday was kind of slow but steady with finds. I dug a few tokens, my best being a bakery token. I also dug a couple of mercs, a 41 & 45. My last find of the day was a worn 1916 Barber quarter.

Your relics all seemed to be horse themed. Lots of silver and Indians...that's Don we are used to!

That's a load of cool finds, Don! Most sportsmens buttons I've seen are two piece...maybe yours a real early one. I'd take that crotal over everything though! ;)

Great bunch of finds. Those 4 Indians all look like they were dropped in great shape. Congrats on all the great finds. WD In all my years of hunting I have NEVER found a watch fob relic. Some day.

Wonderful variety of finds, Don! It was great getting out for a hunt with you on Sunday. It seemed like every permission we got had been detected before but we eked out some keepers anyway. Your Indian Heads are gorgeous! All of them look like early drops. I love the patina on them!

I really like that horse button. (It's not a drilled shank like I said earlier. Didn't have my glasses on!) I hope you are able to get some information on it.

I love that bread token too! I've never seen a token shaped like that one before. Of course, I used to live in Monticello so it's extra special to me. Great find!

Let's do it again soon!

:congrats:
