Last Hunt Before Connecticut / The last House Saved the Day!!

It rained all morning Saturday, but we were finally able to get out about 2:30 in the afternoon. We decided to stay close and hit a few houses in my town. It became very apparent very fast how hard I hit my town a few years back. We did find one house that I missed, the owner said yes, but we would have to come back later because his wife was sleeping.

So, we decided to take a 45 minute drive to a town that we had some success at last year. Man, it's getting tough out there. we only got a couple of yeses and all I was able to find was a rosie and a Missouri tax toke. At the end of the day, just as I was going to drop Noah at his car he reminded me about the sleeping wife house. I'm sure glad he did. we drove over and I dug 2 deep barber quarters, an Indian and 6 wheats, all in the front yard. They have a huge back yard and invited us back anytime. I'll be going back with the big coil!!

Two Barbers Quarters in one day is very unusual. (And very awesome!) I would definitely go back to that house and hunt the back yard. If there are Barber Quarters in the front you know there is more in the back. How nice that they invited you back any time.

:congrats:

Great hunt. The relic in the middle of the bottom photo is a valve stem from a Model T Ford, I believe.
