Just found the forum and it looks to be a good one!!
I didn't have a chance to hunt this weekend but I was able to pull this stuff Friday 13th from a yard I've hunted repeatedly and have always pulled some good finds from each time. I used my MXT this time around. I started in an area I haven't hit too hard before and found a nice '26 Wheat and a real nice 1906 Indian Head, not sure how I missed them before but I did. The IH came in kind of weak so I triple checked the signal from different directions and it continually came up in the high 70's VDI, DIG I did. Was down about 6-7, a nice start to the beautiful afternoon. Proceeded further into the back corner of the yard where I have found Merc's, wheats, and a nice SLQ. After checking every signal several times I ended up digging the following: a Sterling St. Christopher Catholic pendant, a worn out Buffalo, the Huylro's?? brass braclet, a melted penny??, and the porcelain drawer pull.
The 2 dog tags were from a Veteran's Day 3rd trip to the old farm house which my son, a friend, and myself found a lot of silver finds from last weekend. We kind of strip that place clean as these dog tags and my son's 54-d nickle were the only finds for 2 hours worth of hunting.
Enjoy the pic's.
