I have not been out detecting since the beginning of May. I have been working on a project at home with the family...something for my crotal bell collection. Once it is completed then I will share it here of how I plan to display some of them...I doubt anyone will be able to guess.
Anyways I decided would take Memorial Monday as my day to get away and detect. So I ventured to a very old spot and did quite well in the 90 degree weather. I had to pace myself and keep hydrated but it was worth it.
The relics include a brass lever thing that has a patent date of 1846, a clay pipe stem, a key that seems to be half modern and half skeleton, a few of the MANY square nails I dug ( they ring up in the nickel range when they are deep and I am still in search of my first Shield Nik so I got to dig them), and a token.

These Indians are pretty crusty but all are 1800's which make me happy. They are 1865, 1891, 1894 and 1895. The 1865 has a full LIBERTY under all of that poo. Oh well.

My silvers...It was so nice to see it again.

The Buffs I dug about 3 weeks ago. The 1913 Type 1 is one of the best Buffs I have ever dug. These are a good example of the difference between Type 1 and Type 2.
