It sure was a beautiful day, semi-cloudy with a slight breeze and hardly any humidity. Not like this past Thursday, when I baked in the sun while detecting at a park. :shocked02: I took advantage of course, and enjoyed the afternoon detecting at a MA town common hoping to score with a few old coins. The common did not disappoint as I walked away from there with five silver coins - two beautiful Seated dimes, dated 1883 and 1889, one mercury dime, a Roosevelt dime, and a Washington quarter. :happydance01:
These were such a welcome sight. :loveit:

Notice the mercury dime. Yes, there was iron in the hole. The old common has plenty of it.

I also picked up some wheat cents, dated in the teens and twenties.

I hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend!
