Hello all!
Cawabunga was is bloody hot outside or what yesterday... My dash read 99, and the bank I passed said 100.. but I was going 'tectin...
I had to be in Boston yesterday and decided to stop in a small town on the way back... on the way there I passed a small spot that looked good... hit a fast food place to change clothes...

Dirt Fishing (Metal Detecting) in Connecticut - Sept 2, 2010 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0_WqZEIr1E#)
2 minutes into the hunt... Sweet silver sound... 1947 Washington...

It wasn't 5-6 minutes later... when I got a 12/35 @ 6 and I was thinking, trashed zincoln, wheaty (some deeper ones come in as low as 32 for me), Indiah, or *shrug*
Ended up being a large copper... about half penny sized... 1861 New Brunswick One Cent...

Next out was another 12/35... but this one was the classic... 1904 Indian Head Penny...

Next out was some sweet but iffy sounds of 12/45 @ 6 in some think roots... 1928 Mercury Dime...

This as well was a 12/34 12/35 @ 6... but is... *idontknow*

I had a little longer to hunt when I gentleman came over and was telling me about older pictures depicting wash lines on this spot I was hunting... We chatted for a few and he told me this property was once attached to the house he walked from just across the road... build in 1667 and had been in his wife family all along and that I was welcome to come over and look around... We I did get a little time there...
This token was not very deep... from that location... ** Anyone have any ideas on date range?? **

I did get a nice quarter signal and about 5 down... up came a large old pocket watch... There was a design in the cover and the back needed some cleaned as the years had left it encrusted... I left the watch with the owners as it certainly was history for them and possible belong to a relative... I gave them some basic cleaning instruction and left my website and Email so they could send me over a picture... I do have a short video of me recovering the target...
I had a really lovely chat with them about the property, their family, and some of the history... I was invited to come back to continue my search...
I need to spend some more thime at the original location as the targets I recovered suggest there are more goodies there...
HH ALL!
