Door Knocking and Park Hunting w/ Digger Al & Noah

Wednesday after work, I met up with Noah to hunt a couple of older properties.
The first house gave up a 1948-D Rosie and the second house gave up a couple of mercs, a 1944 & 1945.

Saturday, I went out with Digger Al and Noah to do a park and a couple of houses before the rain started.
We started out at park that we hit pretty hard a couple of years ago. I dug nothing but pull tabs and clad, but Al was able to sniff out 2 Indians,( 1904 & 1897 ) and a no date Buff.
After the park we hit a couple of houses. Silver was hard to come by, but I did manage a 1917-S merc at the second house.
I also dug some kind of ornate finial and What I think is a picture frame . At first i thought it was a pocket watch part, but after looking at it I don't think it is.
My last find was a lead soldier missing his head!

Nice going to all . It's nice seeing those Mercs , it's been a while since I've dug one .To me they are the last of the good looking American dimes .

Nice relics and coins. Soak that buff in some Worcestershire sauce for a few days. I can see the faintest outline of a date there. I thought no way was I going to get a date on the buff I found last week but did after soaking it. Took 3 days.
