Saturday morning, My son Alec and I met up with Dave at an 1870s Courthouse for a little detecting. All I dug at the courthouse was a " Rio Coffee " FOB. Alec on the other hand, did pretty good. He started with a 1901 Indian, then followed with a 1907 Barber dime, a 1907 V nickel and a 1916 & a 1926 Buff.
After a farm house that produced nothing for any of us, we decided to head back into the town for some door knocking. I got us a permission at an 1850s house. This is where my luck changed for the better. My first coin was a holed 1893 Indian. I followed that with two V nickels, an 1899 & 1894. and one more Indian, an 1899. My only silvers for the day were a 1947 Rosie & a 1945-S War nickel.
Dave had a good day as well. He already posted his finds!
