got out Sunday afternoon, went to a local spot that I have hunted a 100 times over the last 15 years, I just go there cause it's peaceful, fields and woods, it where I dug the barber dime 2 weeks ago, going in the same area but on the other side of the path, I got a sweet sound, was using the Etrac , which I'm getting use to, I dug the signal and it was about 8 inches deep and out pops a copper disc, a large cent, how did I missed this, then I dug a button, then the other stuff in the pic, as I was walking back, I slowed down and did the area near where I just dug the LC and about 4 feet away , as I was walking I said one more target and I' ll go home, another sweet sound and out pops a 1804 half cent, I said I'm up 1 and 1/2 cents lets go home, this place was hunted out, mmmm

Love making finds in the "hunted out" areas. Well done! Even an uneventful hunt is better than a good day at work, or even just sitting around the house doing nothing.

Part of the beauty of this hobby is that one particular peaceful and quite spot that we know we have pounded to death, yet we still go there and occasionally get a nice keeper. Congrats on your cent and a 1/2

Those are wonderful finds! Here in Illinois we don't find Draped Bust coppers, and any kind of Half Cent would be a rarity for us.

Can you tell what type the Large Cent is? I bet it's an oldie if it was found near the Half Cent.

Congrats on the successful hunt! :clapping:
