Hi all,
First hunt I got out to do a water hunt in the big lake Monday morning. Found the bottom the be sanded in maybe 2 feet after the last storms. But I did manage a little clad and a broken silver ring. One strange find was a 12-34 signal I got. I was thinking gold ring maybe? Alas, no. Instead I see a copper colored quarter in the scoop with 3 holes. Pretty sure it's not a "real" coin, but it sure looks interesting. It is the right size and even had the reeded edge.
Wednesday I got out to a couple spots that didn't quite pan out. One was a beautiful creek under a mid 1800s covered bridge. Lots and lots of zincolns, but nothing older than the early 70s. Go figure.

Lastly I had maybe 20 minutes on my way into work to stop at the old zoo. Started working a little off my regular area and sure enough. Get a pretty nice 12-45 at 6 inches. Pop the plug and see that nice silver rim. Pulled it up and found I had a worn 1939D merc!
Soon after I found another bullet, a part of a keychain from the VFW and a 37 wheatie.
