Hi all,
I was able to get put for the day with FF43 at one of his old hard hit sites. Beautiful area but tough hunting with tons of trash and iron everywhere. I didn't get as much swinging time ad I hoped because my gf decided that she needed me to teach her how to use my CTX at the last moment. Guess she thinks if she uses my machine the treasures will jump out of the ground into her pouch. I think she's figuring put now that it isn't the case! :hystericallaugh:
Anyhow, I only scored one good coin which is a 1913 wheat. Finally got over that century mark! I also found a pretty nice sterling ring with the stamp ftom McGrath Hamon. Some research shows it's a 1950s design, or maybe even a bit earlier.

"I didn't get as much swinging time ad I hoped because my gf decided that she needed me to teach her how to use my CTX at the last moment." Good for you...teaching others is always a better use of time than swinging. Does the ring fit her?

Nope, she never saw the ring! She also thought she could master the CTX in high trash and iron in a couple minutes of instruction.

Again, thanks for the invite, and glad to have the company. Plan that we can get out to the farm fields soon and hopefully find some great stuff.

I was able to do a bit more research on the ring and was able to confirm it's early 50s, and the stone is citrine.

The 1913 wheat coin and the sterling ring both look great. Congratulations on your find. I've just started and hope to find stuff like yours in future.

All you can do is research and find the places with history.

I might have found something still not sure about the authenticity.

Yep, we all would love to see what you've found. I'm also new to detection field, but will be visiting an area next weekenwhere I hope to find something or other.
