59074I got a couple of better59075 photos of the copper that I posted the other day, and found an 1832 cent the next day, and also a lead soldier in the yard of an 1700's home. Is it the rare copper ? and also, why would the 1832 cent have notches on the rim ?
Kevin the pictures are better but the key with identifying Connecticut coppers (especially 1787 varieties 241 different types) is to have straight on pictures not at angles . I'll explain the 1787 varieties because of the many variations and some very subtle that you need to align up many different points to correctly id them , seeing them at angles make things line up a bit skewed and could fool you or make you guess at what your looking at .
I still have a feeling its a Miller 34-ff.1 https://auctions.stacksbowers.com/lots/view/3-6Y3CR

Great looking CT copper and LC. I have yet to dig even a piece of a lead soldier.
