Went out today to three of our old pounded sites to see if I could squeeze out something with my new Deus. I was not expecting much since we have not got much from them in the last couple of years. I deliberately picked difficult spots not to test the Deus but to test my understanding of it. I can say I am learning. I found a very nice reins. Guide, a keg tap, lock plate for a box or trunk and some other things. Diane using her E-Trac found a nice livery tag.

That is a nice looking terret. That "61" looks like a stable tag. Cool find.

Very cool finds! Guess it's not quite as hunted out as you thought. Looks like the Deus is doing well! :clapping:

Nice livery tag. That rein guide is quite unique. And I thought the octagon one I had was different than the multiple round ones. The one bad thing I saw about the Deus was the module was so easy to knock off the frame and lose cuz the headphones work separately from the control unit. You don't do much woods hunting anyway...branches are what tugs on my items all the time. Good luck as it seems you are learning it quickly.

Yeah, like Jim said, that rein guard is different! You make the most eyeball finds! That button with the carved lines plastic?

i made a tether for the remote using a camera wrist strap and a keeper from an old bag that I had! They don't call me "Riga-Tony" for no reason!

Yes that button is an early plastic one, I try to pickup all the China buttons that I spot all interesting bits of dinnerware. I used to do a lot of artifact hunting with my brother when I was a kid....more than 60 years ago, so man made things sort of attract my eye....did I say 60 years ago....man I'm older than some of the dirt I'm digging in!

Nice way to innovate. I have done a few as well. Did you get the newly upgraded coil, or the previous version? Idk if it was out yet or not.

I got the 11" coil, if you are asking about the new HF coil then no.

I just saw the HF coil and wasn't aware of it. Prob good for gold cuz it's pretty high frequency. Nay, I saw something...I guess last Aug.. that I sent to a friend here that i get out with. Turns out it was a 5x9 coil, updated software, and the pinpointer that was to be synced with the module. The 4.0 software I see people posting about NOW, when the info I saw said it was to be released in Sept '16. But I guess I got the answer... 11 ≠ 5x9.
