View Full Version : one coin but oh what a coin !
i decided to get out today even though it was cold and im glad i did.
decide to hit a park that i found a 1754 half real on last year and a beat up 1 real the year before.
i started on the grass but then noticed in the distance a bit that they have plowed/scraped so i decided to hit that instead.
after 2 minuets i get a screaming 81 on the AT pro at 1 inch, now normally that would mean a copper penny but with the new NEL tornado coil the numbers are coming up different so i dug it and WOW.... im glad i did.
lady's and gentlefolk ... my oldest silver to date !!!! 1730 Philip V 1 real.
there are no words to explain my excitement but having found 3 Spanish silvers on a field i have hardly hit i am begining to think im on some sort of trading site from way back when, and my mind is thinking there maybe gold escudos there from the same time frame.
here is some pictures.5792057919

Grats on the pillar coin, Lee.. <--- I think you know why I put that identifier. My oldest silver still remains at 1875. I saw that too after putting on the NEL sharpshooter on my Bounty hunter. The nickels went from 23-25 to 27-29. But it wasn't a huge change so took all of 20 min of digging at a park to know how far off from original learning the new numbers were. I should get a new machine before going... altho you said any machine could have nabbed it.
