Wow, these are fantastic- I could look at them forever. You really get a sense of what things were like back then. The labors and hardships. #65 is amazing. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for that link! Those are amazing pics. I love the pic of the camp bird mine from so long ago. I've been to it while jeeping around Ouray.
Many of the pics look like they could have been taken yesterday. Some, the clothing and hair styles really give away the timeframe.
Real cool photos. Sometimes when I see those type of old pics., I feel I am living in the wrong time. One orange 1 cent. A grapefruit 5 cents.

I can remember my Dad telling me that when he was old enough he started hauling pulp wood. They hand loaded the trucks and then at the rail yard they hand unloaded the trucks and put the pulp wood into box cars. It was then that I understood why he had such large arms. lol

Wow, what a reminder of just how soft we have become.... Life was truly work back then and made it all the more worth fighting for.... I could look at pics like this ALL day...
