My first stop this weekend was at a 1870's park that has been good to me over the years. I pulled a flat button, slick Buff and a 1937 Buff, and 2 Indians. One is a 1905 and the other is a very crusty 1864. In order to get the date I had to use 120 grit sandpaper, that's how crusty it was! Also pictured is a 1944 1 Anna from India and a Token that states good for 5 cents in trade. Before I went home I stopped at a curb strip and found a nice 1948 Canadian Quarter.
On Sunday I took my boys out to a boy scout camp site from the early 1940's. I managed a couple mercs (1917 and 1943 D) and my oldest found his first ever silver quarter (1942). He was pretty excited.
