Took advantage of some recent rain and cooler temps, and got out for a few hours this morning. Pulled a 35 buff, a pair of silver nickels, a pair of silver dimes, and a pair of silver rings. The first one, at about 1 gram, hardly counts, but the one with the stone is stamped 950 for some reason. The merc is a 26D. Also pulled a wheatie and about $4 in clad.

The key words there are Silver lol Nice score on them!! I would love to see what numbers that second ring reads. It looks like a real nice stone in it. The band looks gold, probably due to the lighting I would guess. Great hunt!!

The small one reads 12-40, and the one with the stone reads 13-46. The band isn't gold -- I'm not that good at the close up pics. I don't know about the stone, I figured it was junk, but there is a guy in our MD club who knows stones, so we'll see. It is interesting the way it is mounted -- there is no backing, so you can see right thru the stone to your finger, which seems a little weird.

Nice full date on the buffalo, and the silver nickels should clean up well. Good score on the rings and silver dimes too. thumbsup01

Wow wonder where exactly the ring came from... Thanks for the list :) Curious about all the question marks?

Backing is bad lol They leave some exposed area in the back to let light into the stone. Real Diamonds are always mounted this way too. I can't tell what color your stone is. Is it light blue / green?

I don't think it is a diamond. It just doesn't have that sparkle. I would describe it as clear in the middle, and slightly bluish/green around the edges.

Was wondering if it was an Aquamarine?? Either way a nice looking piece :clapping:
