After finding the wheats and IH yesterday I went back this morning to hunt the parking lot islands at the park. It seems a couple sections were untouched for a very long time and obviously never hunted. :wow: My first taste of "virgin" ground and it was awesome! I just kept getting one signal after another. In total I found 11 wheats and a well circulated 1919 Merc.

Congrats on going back and hitting the islands. Hunting virgin ground doesn't get any better.

Nice finds Chris, hard to find areas with multiple old wheats. Nice finds. WD

Congrats on the nice hunt at virgin grounds! I bet there is more there. Good job on the 12 wheat cents and the 1919 Merc!

A job well done. :congrats:
I can not recall the last time I swung a coil over virgin territory.

This was only my second time at a virgin site, more or less. The first time was also my first real hunt where I got the 26 Merc 2 Barber dime spill. I didn't appreciate finding a place like that as much then as I do now!

Nice score on some silver. Sometimes it pays to figure out which areas were untouched. I was listening to the Wise last night and he had said he scored by checking this area that was a cart path that the last person at that cellar just completely overlooked.
