My very first Buffalo nickle and it is about time. I have plenty of V nickles and it always made me wonder why I could not find the elusive Buffalo.
VDI was 21. It sounded just like a nickle. I knew it wasn't a pull tab. The V3i is pretty serious about identifying nickles and the VDI is seldom beyond one point of 19. Nice surprise

Congrats on your first Buffalo Nickel! That's awesome! :clapping:
And it even has a legible date. Looks like 1929?

WTG on getting that 1st buff out of the way. I also use the V3i and the vdi has to be between 19 and 22 for me to dig.

Thanks Tony. Yes 1929 was my first guess also. Second guess 1928. Either way I was just happy to finally find one.

Nice find! I always wondered why they are so uncommon to find. I found several V nickles but only 1 buffalo myself so far. Go figure.

Nice buff! That is weird though that you found lots of V's before and not a Buff. Now you will probably find another one next time out!

Congrats on your first Buffalo.
I agree with Bucknut, you'll probably start finding them every time out.
