2 New sites more great luck

This week I started another couple of spots. These are both yards. One still has a late 1700s house on it the other is a little more deceptive as it has a house from about 1930. Same old story it's the research that pays off. There was a 1700s here too. The first house produced a 1804 half cent and a really nice 1787 Ct Copper as well as buttons and other normal stuff. The second place had a 1787 NJ copper and buttons as well as the normal stuff.
Research pays off

Glad to see you had another great hunt resulting in a great group of keepers. That research paid off big time....:congrats:.

colonial by definition is when we were a colony. so the coins at least don't make the cut. ;) I'm just messin' great finds. Superb condition on the CT copper and the half cent isn't too shabby either. Great job on the research. I have a similar site like that. In fact, my best site I've ever hunted is just an abandoned 1920s home but had an older home on it. I've pulled over a dozen pre CW coins there. :D
 
Well it is not luck Todd, as a wise person said "Luck is the residue of design"! Interesting point what is "Colonial"? Now just my opinion anything 1800 and earlier for at the turn of the century most people alive were born or lived most of their lives under Colonial rule....just how I feel no hard facts from "experts" to back that up.
 
Call the era they were found in anything you want.....very nice finds any way you look at it. Love those state coppers! Put me on the call list with Gaspipe if you feel the need to unload those sites ;)
 
What a few hunts have you been having :envious: congrats on the fine coppers you've been pulling up my friend . I hope you can keep the "statie" drive alive !!

:lol:The thirteenth colony (Rhode Island) ratified the Constitution in 1790 and in my opinion put an end to the "colonial era" and brought about the United States and the "federal era" .
