Alec and I met up with Daddy Digger Sunday. The conditions weren't to bad. Although it was pretty hot, the area had some good rain lately and the ground was still moist. I'll Let Dave tell his story, "Spoiler" He dug the oldest coin of the day!
We stopped at several houses during the course of the day and I think we got a yes at every one. Besides a few wheats, I dug a couple of Rosies and a Washington.
Alec did a little better. He started out with a 1905 Barber dime, followed that with a couple of buffs,( 1917 and a 1935 )and at the last house of the day, he dug his first ever Two Cent Piece, an 1864.
The finds weren't jumping out at us, but we all did pretty good. It's always good hunting with Dave. Whether we pound it or not, we always seem to have a good time.
