It's been tough to get out in Wisconsin with the heat and the planned summer activities but I have found enough Merc's (37 Mercs) to get me to 400 since 2012. I also found a Barber Dime that is the nicest silver coin that I can remember finding. The picture is OK but this coin looks like it fell out of the bank roll. It's quite the contrast to the SLQ I found on the same hunt. The gold ring is nice but unfortunately it is a "GF". I'll probably spend the next week researching new spots as the weatherman says HOT,HOT,HOT for the rest of the week. Keep swinging Wisconsin Digger

Wow, another great milestone, and an incredible barber. It's no wonder I can't find anything, you got everything ahead of me! :hystericallaugh:
All kidding aside, well done and congrats! Hope you can keep that silver flowing for many more years to come.

Wow, that's a lot of mercs! A SLQ is still on my wish list. Congrats on the milestone!

Well since we're keeping count, I only have 363 more to go for that 400 mark. But, that's only detecting since last year. :detecting:

It seems in Wisconsin Parks and picnicking really got rolling in the 30's and 40's. Mercury dimes, at least for me, have always been the most common thing to find in regard to silver. I would love to have some of that east coast heritage and age but you can only dig what's under your coil. In contrast to that I only have found 1 Large cent in my life going back to the 70's. WD

I agree on all counts. Still only have the 2 Barber dimes I found last year. Haven't found many Rosies either for some reason, but lots of Mercs. Only just got my first seated dime, but did find 2 Largies in one year of detecting.

400 Mercury Dimes in under 4 years is an amazing accomplishment! :wow:

I am only at 330 Mercs after 30+ years.

:congrats:

I had to go count mine, 23 mercs in 6 yrs. I'd guess I have 150 large coppers during those 6 yrs. It seems my area started to die out during the merc years. Funny though, I found a merc this morning which I'll post later.

Huge milestone...I can't even begin to imagine getting 400 mercs and definitely not in only 4 years. :congrats:

That barber is so sweeeeet looking and any SLQ in any condition is great.
