Found this ring at a very old home site. It looks like it has not been occupied for at least 50 years. This site has been hunted by others and me and my buddy with our E-tracs. I decided to go out with my F75 and see what happens. Hit a signal that was coming up around 30. I dug down and out popped this ring. It was shining gold and no discoloration. It is marked "Solid Gold". I have read some on the internet and some rings are marked "Solid gold" and they are not. I see no indication that this one is not gold. This is my first gold of the year. I had 2 last year. The F75 has found 2 gold total and E-trac has found 1 for my 2 year total.550325503355034

Was using a NEL tornado coil if anybody want to know. A lot of my finds are with the Tornado. I also found a horse Stirrup with my nel Big coil about 12 inches down hitting hard at 65 reading on the F75ltd2

Nice find!
I found an article at http://www.mytreasurespot.com/main/read.php?26,422645,422645 that tells about that marking from only 1 company in their 1898 catalog. It was used for 6K or 8K gold.

Nice find, it has to be putting a smile on your face. Interesting about the "solid gold" aspect of it.
