me and Chris decided to go for a quick hunt late yesterday evening but the place we were going to hit didn't look all that, so we went just up the road and detected a small patch of woods in the middle of a park.
first find for me was my first barber quarter. followed by my oldest silver coin to date a holed 1754 Ferdinand Vl half real !!!.
after having a Spanish silver on my bucket list for 6 years ive now found 3 in 8 months.... im over the moon.

Nice score, Lee.

Yeah I told you but for the others here. Ferdinand Vi 1/2 Reale (Milled) pillars royal crowns variety from the Mexico City mint.

Took you 6 years to find Spanish silver? gahh, that's what I am in for? I been trying but haven't been able to score any silver. My oldest was the seated quarter 1875.
