Hi all,
Got out to a few sites over the weekend, but not much to be found it seems. The first was an 1891 lime kiln site now turned park. High hopes, but obviously pounded as I only took out 36 cents in clad. So i spent the rest of the afternoon trying the fields at the farm I live on. This was unreal-not a single target to br had in 4 hours of swinging! The only find was in the yard which turned out to be the plate from a card swipe. I researched and found it was the predecessor of credit cards used between 1935 and 1950.

Today I got out for the afternoon to 2 parks. The first I also had high hopes for as I found it had a sand beach along the river popular from around 1930 to I'm guessing the 50s. The only thing I found was a 1914 wheatie on the trail leading to the area. I'm guessing the beach was either dug out or washed away in the spring floods.
The next site was back to the old zoo/park where I found the IHS a short time ago. After about 3 hours all I found was one 1954D wheatie and a brass cap of some sort. . As I was headed back to the car, about 6 feet from the curb I get an iffy 12-36 at 6 inches. So i decided to dig anyway despite all the trash and was rewarded with my last keeper, a 1910 wheatie. All in all not the worst day, and still got 2.27 in clad.
