I posted back to back skunkings Sat and Mon, then started getting the groove back yesterday and today. I'm not certain if that T & V is a tool or railroad tag....and that bust clip might be a glove clip? I don't have a clue as to who the bust is.
The button is an 1880 Garfield and Arthur campaign. Interesting that a few months after Garfield won the presidency he was shot ...and Alexander Grham Bell invented the metal detector to find the bullet lodged in his body. Thanks!

Nice bunch of finds Drew. The walker is a sweet find, but my favorite is the Garfield & Arthur button.
It was a real pleasure hunting with you last Saturday. Alec and I had a great time and we came home with the oldest coins we've ever dug!
Pretty Cool!!

Nice assortment of finds Drew! Always a great feeling to get out of a slump huh? The Walker is a great find, but the presidential button is your best find IMO. Really neat. The (glove?) clip looks Victorian to me. They were all into those ornately designed bust patterns back then, often of Roman imagery etc.

Nice finds there Drew! That bust clip might be of the Roman goddess Diana. Thanks for the factoid on Garfield, Bell and the metal detector. I really had no idea that Bell invented it.
