some info on the match case

searched and found mention of charles(charlie) manttern and the columbia beer hall in and new orleans history page , looks like it may be as old as 1850, there was mention of another bowling alley and beer hall and it was around the same time

It sound like it should be easy to find info on that place since there is so much information on the box, but sometimes history gets lost and you come up empty. I didn't find anything solid when I tried to Google it. Glad you even found out what you did. I hope it is from the 1850's, because that would make that one an old match stick case. :beerbuddy:
