I had my best silver day ever on Saturday. I went back to the old park that I had been working and as usual just focused on the deep signals. All of the snow melted the day before which made the conditions a bit sloppy but the temps were about 60 and it was still February I was not complaining!

I found 10 wheats, 2 sterling rings, a no date Buff, 1943 P War nik, 1935, 1941 and 1944 mercs, 1914 D and 1911 Barber dimes. The 1945 Washington I dug the day before during my lunch break. The "musketball" I also dug but it really does not have the white patina that I think it should have so I am not convinced it is that old...it is lead for sure though.

The barber dimes came in back to back holes about 3 ft from each other. That was a nice rush!

I think the monogram silver ring is my favorite find. It does not have a markers or sterling mark on it but it is pretty worn. I found it about 10 inches deep in a park that dates back to at least 1876. No way to prove how old it is but I would not be surprised if it is from the late 1800's.

Well looks like the colder weather might settle back in...but all of these beauties will keep me warm until I can get out again!

Thanks for lookin!
Jared

Congrats on your best silver day ever! That park is teaching the value of going slow and listening for deep signals. The 2 barber dimes are certainly early drops. I can see LIBERTY on both of them. The engraved ring sure looks 1800s to me. The style of lettering plus the fact they are hand cut and not machine engraved is just beautiful. Best wishes and HH, Dave.

I hunted for about 5-6 hours and found all of them at 1 park with the exception of the monogram ring that I found at a different park. I am very fortunate to have many public places that I can hunt!

Congrats on the amazing weekend! How lucky are we to be able to detect this time of year?! You found some great coins but my favorite has to be that old silver ring. It looks really old.

:congrats:

I agree with Dave, that silver ring has got to be the find of the day. It has a old look to it.
