I decided to hit my nearby park during lunch today hoping I could find an area where the ground was not too frozen. Spent about 30 minutes swinging in a grassy area and went over an old plug of mine and got a decent high tone. But I would only get it one way. I decided to dig it up anyway and got a wheatie. Reswept it again and still got a nice signal that turned out to be a 1954 Rosie! Then I reswept it again and I still got a decent signal. I dug out the side wall a bit and got another wheatie. Reswept it again and sure enough I got another signal! This one turned out to be a 1947 Rosie! Reswept it again and I got ANOTHER signal but it was just a 1961 memorial.

Unfortunately halfway through digging all of these signals my X1 pinpointer went crazy! Every time I give it a small shake it gives me a medium to low tone! Not sure if something came loose inside of it or if it is on its last leg or what? If it touches another metal object like a coin it still can give me the correct sound and numbers but I am afraid that I need to get another one....used they cost about $300! Ugh!! I have a Garret Carrot for my deus but I MUCH prefer the X1 probe to the Carrot!

When the Garrett acts up its usually the battery. Great start to 2016. WD

Way to start the year-not including the technical difficulties of course. So far I think you may be in the lead for silvers this year-congrats!

Love those spills even if they turn out to be just clad. Silver is like the topping on a sundae.

Congrats!
