Morgan Dollar!!! and More Civil War Buttons

Richard and I went to our usual spots and picked up quite a few old nickels, some more buttons and a few mercs. Then yesterday we were visiting a friend near our home town and we had the detectors in the car. He gave us the OK to dig his backyard, and man are we glad that we did! 10 minutes into the hunt after a few wheats and relics, Richard pulls out a 1879 Morgan Dollar from about 4" down! Man were we surprised! We never thought we would get a Morgan dollar, especially on a spur of the moment, half hour hunt! Thanks for looking and watching the video! GL and HH!!!

Great big silver, and in great shape as well. Congrats. Have 'em in my collection but never found one detecting. Sometimes those spur of the moment hunts, or short hunts can bring the best surprises.
