Willems ,we call that an aglet here in the states . some Native American Indians wore these as jewelry during the early fur trade era and are referred to as "tinkle cones" . congrats .

Tinkle cones , no I have never found one unfortunately but I've seen a couple found at a 1600's era Native American Village site before . There usually recovered at these kinds of places or early trading posts that were set up from the late 1500's to about the mid 1700's. they are pretty uncommon to find here too .
