I've borrowed a White's idx pro from a friend, and after reading through most of the posts here, I'm trying to determine how deep a target probably is prior to digging. Is it just experience that comes from a lot of holes?
Thanks,
Oak

Yes....
My machine tells me the depth, but it assumes a coin size target. But after 1000 holes I can tell when the depth reading is off by the audible clues. Before my T2s, and an Ace 350, I had a machine that didn't have a depth predictor. The strength of the audio, from all directions, told me where the target was.
