Hi all,
Got out in the morning to a new park I had been wanting to try. I wasn't expecting to find anything other than clad for coins, but hoping maybe to find some silver or even gold jewelry. No such luck with that yet, but I did pull out one big surprise-a 1997 mint error quarter! I think it must be a planchet error, or a combination of a couple errors, but the coin is just slightly on the light side. The details are really nice, just wish it wan't so stained like most clad I find here as it would likely be worth even more. Saw one similar quarter on sale online with a starting bid of $95. Don't know if it's realistic, but nice to have that find anyway.
