I was able to get out for a few afternoon hunts this week, with today's hunt being the most productive. The one park I hunted this afternoon yielded eight silver dimes.
These are from the earlier hunts. The Roosevelt dimes are not old, but they are silver.
The other item is a piece of sterling silver jewelry.
Two more coppers, but much too corroded to be able to make out any details. :bummer:
The content of this old compact had been rattling, and it sounded metallic. Unfortunately it was not a coin making the noise, but the loosened metal base of the compact. :ticked:
An old religious pendant and several wheat cents were among the recent finds.
These are the finds from today's afternoon hunt. I detected for 4 1/2 hours before calling it a day. It was getting late and I had a long drive back home.
Have a great weekend everyone!
